- For years there had been whispers of “lost barrels” within the walls of Don Ramón and, in 2018, those barrels were discovered in an overlooked wing of Casa Don Ramón’s distillery in Jamay. Written lineage of the barrels were long lost, but Casa Don Ramóntook the utmost care to preserve and respect the legacy of these lost barrels, and rumor has it, the Tequila aged there for 11 years or more. The Tequila was further aged for three additional years to ensure the liquid could officially be classified as an extra añejo within industry requirements.
