Most aged tequilas are aged in barrels previously used to age bourbon, imparting vanilla and oak notes. It is rare to see other spirits aged in tequila casks, and in Doc Swinson’s tradition of seeking out unique flavors, they thought they’d give it a shot. The wood management team chose some exceptional casks that had previously been used to age Extra-Añejo tequila. Doc Swinson's Blender’s Cut straight bourbon whiskey was then finished in these great casks. The result uncovered notes of melon, tangerine, oak, white pepper, and soft leather that made for a complex, yet approachable, pour.

Nose: Bright citrus.
Palate: Pepper, vanilla, and caramel.
Finish: Long with agave syrup on the finish.
