Damilano Barolo Lecinquevigne 2022 750ml is a classic Barolo crafted from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from five vineyards across the Barolo appellation. Combining fruit from sites in Barolo, Grinzane Cavour and Monforte, Lecinquevigne offers a broad and expressive interpretation of this celebrated Piedmont wine region.
The 2022 vintage opens with aromas of rose, violet, leather and tobacco alongside notes of wild strawberry, licorice, orange peel and savory spice. The palate is ample and expressive, with firm yet ripe tannins, refreshing acidity and a persistent finish.
Following fermentation in stainless steel, the wine is matured for 24 months in large oak barrels ranging from 20 to 100 hectoliters, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle aging. This traditional approach allows Nebbiolo's floral, red-fruited and savory character to remain at the forefront.
